Since childhood in Brooklyn New York, I have loved to create. Whether it was taking refrigerator boxes and creating them into sceneries to play in or drawing characters from her imagination, I knew that art was the thing for me. I knew it was going to be a strong influence on how I would see the world and approached things. I am just as fascinated by the end result as the process it takes to get there.
Whether creating sets, pet portraits, linocuts, murals or custom work my goal is to capture the spirit and character of the subject. I analyze and think about what makes it special and unique. Then I consider what attributes emphasize the subject. I think about shape, color, line, and motion. Once I get to know this and understand it, I can then choose how best to represent it.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the great fortune to work on some truly amazing projects, while meeting many inspiring and creative individuals along the way. I believe in working together to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
